CIS Services for Faculty and Administrators

The CIS process depends on the help of UT staff administrators and the participation of UT faculty in order to be successful each semester. Each academic department has representatives from the staff ("CIS Contacts") who make official survey requests (with input from the faculty) and ensure the appropriate forms are chosen for meaningful results. The staff also coordinates the survey administration with student survey administrators while the faculty give up valuable class time for the paper survey administration. Important CIS dates/deadline for Spring 2012 are: 

  • March 19-March 30: CIS Request site open *All CIS requests due by 5 PM on March 30th
  • April 23-May 4:  Official Survey Administration Period
  • May 18 at 5 PM:  Last day/time to return survey packets for official processing
  • May 21:  Provisional results for eCIS post for faculty review (MyCIS site) **Except for School of Law**
  • May 30:  Provisional results for paper CIS post for faculty review (MyCIS site) **Except for the School of Law**
  • May 30-June 27:  Rescan Period: Instructors may request to have a rescan to correct a CIS processing error
  • July 5:  Official Spring 2012 results available (MyCIS site and CIS Results Site)

Important CIS dates/deadlines for Summer 2012 are:

  • June 18: CIS Request site opens
  • June 22:  FIRST SESSION CIS Request Site closes. *All FIRST SESSION requests due by 5PM
  • June 28-July 5:  FIRST SESSION Official Survey Administration Period
  • July 11:  9-WEEK SESSION CIS Request Site closes. *All 9-WEEK SESSION requests due by 5 PM
  • July 17-July 24:  9-WEEK SESSION Official Survey Administration Period
  • July 30:  SECOND/WHOLE SESSIONS CIS Request closes; Entire CIS Request Site closes. *All SECOND/WHOLE SESSIONS requests due by 5 PM
  • August 3-10: SECOND/WHOLE SESSIONS Official Survey Administration Period
  • August 17 at 5 PM:  Last day/time to accept summer paper CIS for official processing
  • August 21:  Provisional results for all summer CIS (paper & eCIS) post for faculty review (MyCIS site)**Except for School of Law**
  • September 19:  Official Summer 2012 results available (MyCIS site and CIS Results Site)
